Find your body balance

The holiday season is full of celebrations

Celebrations that are full of fun, food and friends.

Festive moments can be fun but may also bring up feelings of guilt or insecurity about our bodies. Finding your body balance is about nurturing a mindset that accepts and cares for your body, just as it is.

Body image is how we think and feel about our bodies.

Having a positive body image is about much more than how you look. It means appreciating your body for everything it can do.

If thoughts about your body start to feel overwhelming, it’s okay to reach out for help. Chat with someone you trust or connect with a professional (like your GP or a therapist) who can guide you in creating a plan that supports you.

The MOST Body Image Book is a great place to start, offering comics and activities to get you through the festive season.

Exploring Body Image with MOST

On MOST you can find activities and strategies to help you explore your relationship with your body.

Mindful movement can help with body balance

Mindfulness helps us slow things down – a skill that’s particularly useful during a busy holiday season. It can help us move from ‘autopilot’ to being present and connecting with our bodies.
