Feeling down or overwhelmed?

Flying thoughts

The Fundamentals Therapy Journey on MOST could help.

This journey helps young people build the foundations of good mental health using a transdiagnostic approach.

If you’re looking to understand and manage your emotions better, the Fundamentals could be for you.

What is a transdiagnostic approach and how can it help me manage my mental health?

Sometimes, feeling anxious or down can be part of many different mental health struggles.

Instead of focusing on just one issue, like anxiety or depression, a transdiagnostic approach looks at the common challenges that show up across different mental health conditions.

In other words, a transdiagnostic approach helps by giving you tools to manage several things at once, instead of only treating a single condition.

It makes therapy more flexible, efficient, and can help improve your overall well-being.

How will this journey help me with my mental health?

The Fundamentals Journey on MOST will teach you the essentials of good mental health. It will help you explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are connected to your mood.

It will also provide you with practical strategies to feel better. You will learn how to handle real-life situations and develop your ability to stay present and manage stress.

You’ll be able to create your own personalised toolkit of these strategies within MOST so you can access them at the tap of a button.

What can I expect to find in the Fundamentals Journey?

The Fundamentals Journey is made up of five tracks, each filled with fun, interactive activities that you can explore at your own pace.

These short activities are designed to be easy to understand and apply to real life.

They combine skills and strategies from evidence-based frameworks like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the Unified Protocol (UP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

These frameworks help guide therapists in supporting people to manage their mental health, and now you get to learn and use them too.

As you move through the journey, you’ll get to see our MOST comic characters work through their own challenges. You’ll see how they put the strategies you’re learning into action to overcome obstacles and feel better.

Here’s a sneak peak at some of the content you’ll find within the Fundamentals Journey.
